He embarked on his legal journey as a founding partner and director of a notable law firm in Shanghai, progressing through various prestigious roles, including partnerships at Shanghai Jun Yue Law Firm and Beijing Wei Heng (Shanghai) Law Firm, culminating in his current position at Watson & Band since March 2024.

His legal prowess is evidenced by his handling of nearly a thousand cases involving a wide range of legal disciplines, from civil and commercial to criminal and administrative law. He has represented a diverse clientele, including multinational corporations, government agencies, and state-owned enterprises across multiple sectors such as finance, insurance, real estate, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals, with a clientele spread over China and abroad.

Specializing in complex and challenging cases, Mr. Gong has a particular expertise in administrative law, focusing on demolition, relocation, and urban renewal projects during his tenure as a legal advisor for the Changning District Housing Security and Housing Management Bureau in Shanghai.
