Before joining Watson & Band, Mr. Huang served as legal and compliance counsel at Hitachi Construction Machinery and Sumitomo Mitsui Bank's subsidiary in China, as well as a member of Deloitte Legal's Japanese business team. With over a decade of experience in legal affairs, he brings a wealth of expertise to his practice.

During his tenure as corporate counsel, Mr. Huang assisted companies in handling daily legal consultations, maintaining company regulations such as import-export management and anti-bribery rules, operating compliance committees, and other internal legal compliance matters. He also dealt with multiple product quality cases in Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Shandong, and other regions, as well as executive departure cases within the group.

Since becoming a practicing lawyer, Mr. Huang has provided legal services to several prominent enterprises across industries such as construction machinery, automotive parts manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, catering, gaming and banking. His expertise includes corporate commercial law in foreign investment sector (establishment, share transfers, corporate withdrawal and restructuring, labor and HR affairs), compliance (anti-corruption compliance, personal information protection, data compliance), intellectual property and trade secrets protection, daily legal consulting, and dispute resolution (trademark disputes, commercial disputes, contract disputes, etc.).

• Represented multiple Japanese enterprises and their Chinese subsidiaries as plaintiffs in various civil cases for trademark infringement, unfair competition, and copyright infringement, achieving favorable outcomes in all cases

• Successfully represented a renowned Japanese-invested enterprise in a lease contract dispute civil lawsuit.

• Acted as counsel for a Japanese manufacturing plant in arbitration proceedings at the Shanghai International Arbitration Center regarding a contract dispute with an international retail giant, securing a favorable ruling.
