Watson & Band is pleased to announce that a strategic research project co-developed by the Watson & Band Intellectual Property Agency Ltd has been awarded the First Prize in the "2025 East China Science and Technology Intelligence Achievement Awards."

The award, announced today by the Shanghai Society for Scientific and Technical Information, recognizes the "Songjiang District Satellite Internet Industry Planning Patent Landscaping Research" project. The winning project provides critical data support for the development of Shanghai's Songjiang District, a key hub for the satellite internet industry.

Aligned with Songjiang's goal to build a 10 billion RMB satellite internet cluster by 2027, this patent landscaping study integrates patent data with market trends and policy analysis. The research serves as a scientific foundation for the district's upcoming "15th Five-Year Plan," offering a roadmap for industrial growth and global competitiveness.

This achievement reinforces Watson & Band’s standing as a premier provider of IP strategy. The firm has been officially designated by the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration as a "2024 Shanghai Patent Landscaping Engineering Support Service Institution."
